15 leagues, one search box: building a scouting brief
The best scouting briefs read like a conversation, not a spreadsheet.
Here is how to write one that gets you a useful shortlist on the first try.
Start with the role, not the stats
Describe what the player should DO in your system. Stats follow from behaviour, not the other way around.
Try ScoutGol
Find the players you're reading about.
Describe any role in plain language. Real players, real stats, 15 leagues.
Anchor the context
League level, age band, contract status, budget zone. These four filters remove most of the noise instantly.
Specificity is kindness — to yourself and to the engine.
Example brief
Left-footed centre-back, comfortable in a back three, strong aerially, 22-26 years old, ready to play in a top-five league within twelve months.
What you get back
A ranked shortlist, real stats, and an analytical report you can drop into a board pack.
