This Privacy Policy explains how ScoutGol ('we', 'us', 'our'), operated as an independent product (ABN 74 330 826 281), collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use our website (scoutgol.com) and application (app.scoutgol.com). We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with applicable data protection laws including GDPR (EU) and applicable Australian privacy law.
2. Data We Collect
We collect: account data (email, display name, username); profile data (favourite club, country, bio, avatar — optional); usage data (search queries, search history, shortlisted players, login timestamps); technical data (IP address, browser, device, OS); payment data is handled entirely by Paddle — we do not store credit card details.
3. How We Use Your Data
To provide and improve the service; manage your account and subscription; send service-related emails; respond to support requests; analyse usage. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Third-Party Services
ScoutGol uses: Supabase (database and authentication, EU region); Anthropic (AI API for scout reports — search queries are sent to Anthropic's API); API-Football (player statistics — no personal data shared); Paddle (payment processing as Merchant of Record); Cloudflare (DNS, DDoS protection, CDN — IPs may be processed).
5. Data Retention
Account data is retained while your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days. Search history (Pro/Scout) is retained for the duration of your subscription. Anonymised, aggregated usage analytics may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the right to: access your personal data; correct inaccurate data; request deletion; restrict processing; data portability; withdraw consent.
